Box Score JACKSON, Miss. -- Majors Women's Volleyball returns home winless after a tough weekend of play on the road after dropping the match in a 3-1 decision at Hendrix(13-5, 8-1). Despite beginning the match with a tough, competitive fight to win by two in the first set, the Majors just couldn't get back on track after winning that set, dropping the next three to fall to 4-12 and 1-8 in the SAA.

The first set featured many ties and lead changes, including a lead change after a clutch run of points by Millsaps that knotted the game up at 24-24 before the Majors ultimately take the first set. The next three sets were decided in Hendrix's favor, 25-22, 25-15, and 25-13.

The Majors hung tough against the first place team in the conference, led by the usual team leaders in each category. Ashley Zamjahn once again shined in the digs area, contributing 20 digs in yet another strong defensive showing. Regan Riddle led in kills with 11, followed by Morgan Vincent with nine, and Susannah Williams with six. Presley Stolzfus contributed three aces, and Shelby Marsh led the way with 26 assists. Riddle also led with five blocks and Erica Bennett was right behind her with four blocks.

The Millsaps Women's Volleyball team returns home for a big weekend next week, hosting a tournament and playing three opponents, Centre, Austin College, and Sewanee all over the span of two days on Oct. 15 and Oct. 16. In what's certain to be a tough slate of matchups, the Majors will be seeking out another win streak to build upon after snapping their two game streak this past week.
