Conway, AR – The Millsaps Baseball team secured a pair of conference road wins over Hendrix in extra innings in thrilling, dramatic style.
Saturday's double-header took over six hours and 21 innings of play, but the Majors secured their third conference series win of the season – and in doing so kept hopes of hosting part of the conference tournament at Twenty Field alive. With wins of 6-3 and 5-4 in Conway, the Millsaps Baseball team improves to 19-18 overall on the year.
Saturday marked the start of the final conference series of the regular season for Millsaps, as the Majors secured a game one victory in 11 innings.
The Majors took an early lead in the second with a
Wes Lassere RBI single. Lassere's single scored

Chris Guerin pitched three innings in relief.
The Majors held a 2-0 lead through seven innings - Hendrix, however, responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth to tie the game 2-2. The first of two extra inning games then began with neither team breaking the scoring barrier in the ninth and tenth innings.
The decisive 11th, however, proved to be difference for Millsaps. A leadoff walk for
Isaac Glenn got things started. From there,
Lee Ogletree singled on a bunt to place the winning run at second.
Drew Wray then delivered with an RBI single to left center scoring Glenn and giving the Majors at 3-2 lead.
Seth Trulock kept the momentum going with a single while

The second game of the day, scheduled for seven innings, was decided much like the first – in extra innings.

Joseph Stearns and sent the contest to extra innings for the second straight time in Saturday's double-header.
Neither team would score for the next three innings with the Majors gaining a boost from the solid relief pitching of
John Wiltshire. Wiltshire earned the game two victory on the mound giving up one hit in five scoreless innings for Millsaps.
In the decisive tenth, the Majors solidified the win.
Brennan Ducote got things started with a leadoff single through the left side.
Lee Ogletree then advanced Ducote to second – putting the winning run in scoring position.
Joseph Stearns then flied out to center advancing Ducote to third and giving
Logan Patterson an opportune at-bat.
The second baseman delivered with a clutch RBI single to right field, giving the Majors their first lead since the fourth inning. Wiltshire and the Majors' defense then forced a three-up three-down bottom of the tenth to secure the series win.
