Box Score LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Major men's soccer team struggled in Georgia and fell 5-0 to Maryville College on Friday, Sept. 9.
Millsaps had several opportunities to close the gap against the Scots with three shots on goal, but the Majors were unable to convert these opportunities into goals.
Steve Chrobok and
Matt Crooker led the Major offense, tallying two shots with one shot on goal each and
Nico Roth, entering his first game after being sideline for two, recorded one shot on goal.
At goalkeeper, Jonathan Huebbe tallied two saves and five goals allowed.
"We really just got out played," said head coach Steve Volts. "We have several things we need to work on to be successful this season."
The Majors will remain in Georgia for a second day to take on Covenant College. The two teams are scheduled to face off on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 6 p.m.
