Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Millsaps women's volleyball team was unlucky in their first day of the Rhodes College Tournament. The Friday, Sept. 9 matches left the Majors down 3-0 to LeTourneau University and 3-1 to Covenant College.
 
Defeating the Majors was no easy feat for the Yellow Jackets. Millsaps tallied more total attacks than LeTourneau (111-97) and more defensive digs (46-41).
 
Morgan Vincent, freshman outside hitter, led the Majors offensive effort with 24 total attacks and 11 kills. Shelby Marsh and Presley Stolzfus headed up the defensive effort with 11 digs each and Marsh and Ashley Zamjahn was credited with a team high of 14 assist a piece.
 
Millsaps won their only set of the day against Covenant College. A rematch from a previous tournament, the Majors conclude their 2016 action against the Scots 0-2.
 
Millsaps hung close to Covenant putting up 168 total attacks to Covenant's 170 and 82 digs to their 88.
 
Again, Vincent led the Major offense with 41 total attacks and 13 kills. Wilson garnered a team high of 18 assist and Zamjahn tallied 27 total digs.
 
The Majors will be back in action on day two of the Rhodes College Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 10 when they take on LaGrange College at 1 pm.
