JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps College women's volleyball team will travel to Danville, Ky. to face Centre College in the first conference match of the 2016 season.
The Majors (2-4) have struggled the first couple of weeks of the season but are looking to turn the season around as they start conference play.
Morgan Vincent leads Millsaps offensively, playing in all six matches with 68 kills on 202 total attacks with nine service aces.
Ashley Zamjahn and
Regan Riddle lead the defense with 90 digs and 14 total blocks respectively and
Shelby Marsh leads the team in assists with 96 so far this season.
Millsaps averages 10.4 kills-per-set, 9.9 assists, 1.3 service aces 14.0 digs, and 27.0 total blocks. Major opponents average 11.0 kills-per-set, 10.2 assists, 1.9 service aces, 14.2 digs, and 47.0 total blocks.
Centre College (4-4) averages 9.52 kills-per-set, 8.48 assists, 1.55 service aces, 16.48 digs, and 1.86 total blocks while allowing 7.60 kills, 7.20 assists, 1.40 service aces, 15.00 digs, and 1.80 total blocks.
