Box Score JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps College women's volleyball team was unable to convert their first home game of the season in to a win, falling 3-0 to conference rival Birmingham Southern.
The Majors tallied more total attacks than the Panthers but struggled against the BSC defense to turn those attacks into kills.
Regan Riddle, junior middle blocker, led the Majors with a game high of ten kills. She also recorded a match high of 10.5 points.
Morgan Vincent led the Majors defense with 13 digs and
Gracie Bellnap lent 12 assists to the Major offensive effort.
As a team, the Majors recorded 27 kills, 101 total attacks, 24 assists, seven total blocks, and 41 digs. BSC recorded 37 kills, 98 total attacks, 36 assists, 11 total blocks, and 48 digs.
The Majors will continue their action at home on Saturday, Sept. 24 when they host Rhodes College. The first server is scheduled for 11 a.m. in the Hangar Dome located on the campus of Millsaps College. Come out and support Majors as they face the Lynx. .
