JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps Majors men's soccer team is looking to secure a second win in a row this week against the Hendrix College Warriors on Friday, Sept. 30 at Harper Davis Field.

Millsaps (5-5) has won the last last four meetings with Hendrix(2-7) and are seeking to extend the winning streak to five. As a team, the Majors have scored 12 goals with 49 shots on goal on 111 attempts. They have tallied 54 corner kicks, nine assists, and average 11.1 shots-per-game. The Warriors have scored 11 goals on 76 shot attempts. They have recorded 32 corner kicks, nine assists, and average 12.6 shots-per-game.

Tore Schutt, SAA Offensive Player of the Week, leads the Majors offense with seven points, two goals and three assists. Nico Roth is also a standout on offensive, whose goal and assist last game vs. Belhaven has put him tied on top of the team's leaderboard in goals. Alex Bourland, Matt Crooker and Gabriel Ryce are also tied with Schutt and Roth for the team lead in goals this year. Hendrix is led by Mohammad Ali who has three goals on 14 shots.

The Major defense is headed by Johnathan Huebbe and Alfie Miller. Huebbe has started in seven games, played in nine and has allowed 14 goals with 29 saves on 75 shots faced. Together, Huebbe and Miller have faced 94 shots and only given up 17 goals. Lately, Coach Steve Voltz has been very happy with the play of his goalkeepers, Huebe and the Majors defense. The Warriors defense is led by Nathan Myers and Josh Robbins. Together they have combined for 58 saves and have given up 20 goals.
