Men’s Soccer Drops SAA Match at Berry

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Millsaps dropped their third straight match, 4-1 at Berry Sunday afternoon. Both teams finished with 15 shots in the game, but Millsaps was outshot 9-3 on goal.

Most of the scoring took place in the first half. Berry got it started with a goal in the 2nd minute of the match and again in the 12th minute to take a quick 2-0 lead.

Millsaps got on the board with a goal by Luca Kistner (Munich, Germany) in the 21st minute to cut the Vikings lead in half. Berry answered back with their third goal of the game in the 34th minute to take a 3-1 lead into halftime.

Berry scored in the 60h minute to take the 4-1 lead and seal the victory.

Millsaps falls to 5-7-2 on the season and 1-4-1 in SAA play. The Majors will now prepare for their final match of the regular season, the Majors will celebrate senior night at home on Saturday against Birmingham Southern at 8:00 p.m.
