JACKSON, Miss. – MIllsaps dropped their final non-conference match of the season, 4-0 to Delta State at home Wednesday night. Kimberly Manley (Madison, Ala.) and Riley Fobare (Franklin, Tenn.) both finished with two shots and one on goal while Aimee Leachman (Madisonville, La.), Sharon Suffern (Lafayette, La.) and Molly Ambrose (Pensacola, Fla.) also had a shot on goal.

Delta State got on the board early in the 4th minute of the match after a corner kick led to their first goal. The Lady Statesmen picked up their second goal after a Millsaps foul led to a penalty kick that gave them a 2-0 lead.

Millsaps had scoring chances in the first half but came up empty each time. Delta State scored again in the 40th minute to give them a three-goal advantage at halftime. The final score of the match came in the 56th minute to complete the 4-0 win for Delta State.

Millsaps will now get ready for senior night at Harper Davis Field. The Majors take on Birmingham Southern on Saturday starting at 5:30 p.m.
