MEMPHIS, Tenn. – In the SAA opener for both teams, the Millsaps men's soccer team did not have enough at Rhodes Saturday morning as they fell 2-0 to the Lynx.
Millsaps finished the match with 11 shots with three of them coming on goal. Senior

Nathaniel Edwards (Charleston, S.C.) and sophomore
Brett Judd (Monroe, La.) all had one shot on goal for the Majors.
It was an evenly matched game throughout. In the first half Rhodes had seven shots compared to Millsaps six and both squads were even with three corner kicks. Rhodes broke the scoreless tie at the end of the half in the 40th minute.
Rhodes outshot Millsaps eight to five in the second half, the Majors had two corners compared to the Lynx one. The second goal of the day for Rhodes came in the 63rd minute to give them the 2-0 lead which would be enough for the victory.
With the loss Millsaps drops to 4-3-1 on the season and 0-1 in SAA play. The Majors are back at home on Tuesday for a non-conference contest when they take on East Texas Baptist at Harper Davis Field at 7:00 p.m.
