JACKSON, Miss. -- The home portion of the 2018 Millsaps College women's soccer schedule has come to an end, and for the remainder of the season the Majors will be on the road.
That road trip starts this weekend against No. 9 Centre College and Sewanee. Check out the game notes below for information on both of this weekend's opponents.
Last Week
The Majors dropped a pair of close matches last week,1-0 to Oglethorpe University on Friday night and 1-0 in overtime to Berry College on Sunday.
Tonight: No. 9 Centre College (13-0, 4-0 SAA), 5:00pm CT, Danville, Kentucky
The Colonels enter into this weekend's matchup unbeaten on the season, and ranked as the number nine team nationally in the most recent top-25 poll.
Centre has dominated their opponents so far this year. The last time the Colonels allowed a goal was in their 3-1 win over Mount St. Joseph back on September 16th.
Last season the Colonels picked up a 5-0 win over the Majors here in Jackson.
Key Players for the Colonels
Centre's aggressive offensive attack leads the league in shots, goals scored, shots per game and corner kicks. Junior forward Alana Hughes leads the conference in goals with 11. She has also added 4 assists which brings her points total to a league-leading 26. Freshman midfielder Elizabeth Nelson has added six goals of her own, and senior forward Keeghan Francis has chipped in another 4 assists this season.
Defensively, Sarah Stodghill has played 1,000+ minutes in goal, and leads the SAA with a 0.27 goals against average. She also has recorded 6 shutouts this season.

Sunday: Sewanee (4-9-2, 1-3 SAA), 12:00pm, Sewanee, Tennessee
On Sunday the Majors will travel to Tennessee to take on the Tigers of Sewanee. Sewanee, who has won four out of their last six matches, will play Birmingham Southern tonight before hosting Millsaps on Sunday.
Key Players for the Tigers
The Sewanee offense is fairly well-balanced. Three freshman lead the way in goals scored: Sam Morgan with 4, Kiera Giacomini with 3 and Gillian Campbell with 2. As a team the Tigers rank 5th in the SAA in goals scored and just 7th in shots on goal.
On the defensive end, Hanna Judycki dominates the minutes at goalie. She has surrendered 20 goals this year, and her 1.57 goals against average is just 8th best in the SAA.
