SEWANEE, Tenn.—When it rains, it pours. And right now, it's like a cloud is following the Millsaps men's soccer team everywhere they go.
For the third straight match, the Majors were unable to find the back of the net as they fell to Sewanee, 5-0, in Tennessee.
The Tigers got the scoring started in the 10
thminute. After Alpo Sipila's shot was saved out of bounds by
Alfie Miller, Miller then deflected the ensuing corner kick to Sewanee's Thompson Schollaert, who put it in for the score. That would be all the scoring Sewanee needed, but not all they got as they tallied 3 more in the first half and another one in the second.
The Majors offense was only able to muster one shot on goal, a shot in the 69
th minute by
Ruben Hamann, that was saved by the Tiger goalkeeper.
The loss sends the Majors to 3-10-1 overall and 1-5-0 in the SAA.
