BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The offensive woes continued Saturday for the Millsaps men's soccer team as they fell to Birmingham-Southern, 6-0.
BSC got the scoring started in the 18
thminute when Christian Hernandez took a pass from Ryo Elliott and put it past Majors goalkeeper
Tyler Andrews. The Panthers defense did the rest as they held the Majors to just 4 shots on goal for the match. BSC added 2 more in the first and 3 more in the second put Millsaps away.
Offensively, the Majors were led by
Luca Kistner, who had a pair of shots on goal.
Gabriel Ryce and
Wayne Dowdy had one apiece.
The loss sends the Majors to 3-11-1 overall and 1-6-0 in the SAA. They have wrapped up the 7
thseed in the upcoming SAA tournament and will likely travel to Rhodes next weekend.
What's Next
Millsaps will finish their 2018 regular season with a Tuesday road matchup against William Carey University. The match starts at 7:30 pm.
