JACKSON, Miss. -- Week 8 of the college football season here, and the Millsaps College Majors are on their way to Georgia for a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) game against No. 12 Berry College.

Last Week
It was homecoming weekend on the campus of Millsaps College, and the Majors football team welcomed the 'Roos of Austin College to Harper Davis Field for a conference matchup.
The Majors found themselves down 20-3 at halftime, and despite outscoring Austin in the 4th quarter, suffered their second loss of the season by a 34-23 score.

Andrew Warren led the Millsaps offense with 84 yards on 15 carries. Defensively
Dylan Higgins and
Chandler Coleman each had 7 tackles to lead the team.

Berry College comes into tomorrow's contest ranked at No. 12 in the latest American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Top 25. After last week's 35-14 win at Hendrix the Vikings have now won 22 consecutive regular season games. They have scored victories 14-straight games at Valhalla Stadium. Both streaks are the longest in the SAA.
The Majors' defense, which is allowing a SAA best 13.7 points per game, faces quite possibly their toughest test of the season as Berry is averaging a league-best 41.7 points per game. The Vikings are a well-balanced attack as they have rushed for 1,632 yards and thrown for 1,328.
QB Tate Adcock leads the SAA in touchdowns this season with 18. Senior RB Joey Connors has 5 TDs on the ground, and junior WR Mason Kinsey has hauled in 13 touchdowns through the air.
Defensively, Berry is led by senior DL Bryson Lamboy who has a team-high 42 tackles on the year. He has been a huge problem for opposing QBs as he leads the SAA in sacks with 7.5. On the backend sophomore DB Mark Somerville II leads the team with 3 interceptions.
