HATTIESBURG, Miss.—The Millsaps men's soccer team squared off against William Carey Monday night, in the Majors regular season finale.
The Majors held the Crusaders, who are currently ranked first in all of NAIA men's soccer, to just 2 first half goals, WC erupted for 7 more in the second half to send Millsaps to their 6
thstraight loss, 9-0.
The Crusaders came roaring out of the gate, knocking the first goal in less than 5 minutes into the match. They tallied their second in the 14
th minute but were held scoreless for the rest of the half.
The second half saw 6 different players score for WC, who remained undefeated on the season. The Crusader defense held the Majors to just one shot on goal, a first half shot by
Mikel Gomez.
The loss drops the Majors to 3-12-1 overall.
What's Next
Millsaps will face off with Rhodes on Saturday in the first round of the SAA tournament. The Majors will travel to Memphis for a 2 pm start time.
