10/26/2018 2:38:00 PM

JACKSON, Miss. -- This weekend the Millsaps College football team hits the road for the final time in the 2018 season. The Majors travel to Danville, Kentucky for a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) matchup with the Colonels of Centre College.

Check out the game notes below for all of the details on tomorrow's matchup with the Colonels.

Last Week
On Saturday, the Millsaps College football team traveled to Georgia to take on then No. 12 Berry College in a SAA battle.

The Majors led the majority of the contest, and it took a late defensive touchdown plus a two-point conversion to send the game into overtime.

Unfortunately in the second overtime Berry's offense scored, and their defense came up with the critical stop on downs to allow the Vikings to escape with a 28-21 win.

After handling all of the kicking and punting duties, sophomore punter Andrew Byrd earned a spot on this week's D3Football.com Team of the Week.

Tomorrow: 1:30pm CT at Centre College (6-1, 4-1)
Centre College comes into this weekend's game on a three-game winning streak. The Colonels lone loss of the season came at the hands of unbeaten, and now No. 10 Berry, 38-35 in overtime.

The Majors defense, which did not allow a touchdown in regulation last week, continues to lead the SAA in scoring. Millsaps allows just 15.7 points per game. They are surrendering just 284.7 total yards per contest.

This weekend the Majors face a tough test as Centre's offense is second in the league averaging 448.1 yards per game. The Colonels like to get it done though the air as they lead the SAA in pass yards with 2,109.

QB Tanner Young, who is the reigning SAA Offensive Player of the Week, averages a SAA-best 286.7 passing yards per game. He is tied with Tate Adock of Berry with 18 passing touchdowns.

Jaylon Hibbs is the team's leading receiver by a far margin. He has hauled in 7 TDs, and his 100.9 receiving yards per game leads the SAA.

The Colonels defense is led by senior LB Andrew Busby who has 41 total tackles. Junior DB Cal Lewellyn leads the team with 3 interceptions, and senior DL Connor John has a team-high 4 sacks this season.
