CONWAY, Ark.—For the second time this season, the Millsaps volleyball team wasn't able to overcome Hendrix as the Warriors knocked off the Majors, 3-0, to sweep the regular season series.
The two teams traded points back-and-forth in the first set, with no lead being bigger than 3. After Millsaps used a
Morgan Vincent attack to tie the game at 16, the Warriors went on a 6-2 run to pull ahead. Millsaps was able to get as close as 18-21, but Hendrix won 4 of the next 5 points to take game 1, 25-19.
Sets 2 and 3 were rough for the Majors, as they were never able to find a rhythm offensively. In the second, Hendrix jumped out to a 10-4 lead and coasted 25-15, to move ahead 2-0. The third set was closer at the beginning, as the Majors were down just 1, at 10-9, before the Warriors ended the set, and the match, on a 15-4 run, to win the game 25-13.
Offensively, the Majors were led by Vincent's 10 kills and 3 blocks.
Gracie Bellnap chipped in 13 assists while
Payton Passantino added 18 digs.
