CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – After taking two wins on Friday to advance to the final four of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Tournament, the Millsaps softball team saw their season come to a close with a 3-0 loss to Rhodes on Saturday afternoon.
Junior
Kendall Carder was named to the All-Tournament team for the Majors.
Blair Little finished the day 2-3 at the plate with two singles.
MK Bozeman,
Lindsey Osbon,
Mackenzie Johnson and
Leslie Norris also collected hits for the Majors.
Rhodes scored its first run of the game on an error in the 2nd and plated two more in the 5th on an RBI single and an RBI groundout to score their three runs.
Millsaps had many scoring opportunities, the Majors stranded the bases loaded in the 1st, 2nd and 4th innings, leaving ten total runners on base for the game.
Playing with a young squad this year, the Majors have a promising future ahead of them returning 11 out of the 14 players on the roster. It was the final game in a Millsaps uniform for seniors
