MOUNT BERRY, Ga. -- On Friday, the Millsaps College women's soccer team traveled to Berry College to see which team would pick up their first conference win of the year.
The Vikings led 3-0 at halftime, and tacked on three second half goals to pick up the 6-1 win.
Millsaps moves to 3-8 on the year, while Berry improves to 6-4-2.
How It Happened
BC wanted to defend the home field and they did just that, scoring in the 11th, 25th and 40th mintues of the first half. Millsaps was not able to respond as Karsen Brantley had a night to remember, assisting on two goals and putting away a pair of her own.
The Vikings totaled 30 shots in the contest, including two goals that got things rolling in the second half.
Although the Majors only posted a couple of shots in each period,
Hannah Johnson found the back of the net on a free kick with six minutes remaining. Unfortunately, Berry responded with a goal in the 85th minute to put the game away 6-1.
Notables
Maddie Moore added nine more saves to her season total, climbing to second in the SAA with 53.
