JACKSON, Miss. -- Week six of the college football season sends the Millsaps College Majors on the road for a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) matchup with Austin College.
Last Time Out
Last weekend, the Majors welcomed the Colonels of Centre College to Harper Davis Field for a SAA matchup.Â
Millsaps led 7-0 at halftime, but a late Centre touchdown sent the game into overtime.Â
The defense came up with a turnover on the opening Colonel play of the second overtime, and a few minutes laterÂ
Hunter Sellen's field goal gave the Majors the 20-17 win.Â
With the victory, Millsaps enters this week with a 4-1 overall record. They are 2-1 in the SAA.Â
After seemingly living in the Colonels backfield all afternoon long, junior
Liam Vincifora was named the SAA Defensive Player of the Week and earned a spot on the D3Football.com National Team of the Week He made three sacks, posted 4.5 tackles-for-loss and had 6 total tackles on Saturday.

The 'Roos enter Saturday's matchup off of a 52-35 loss to Trinity University. Austin's lone SAA win came against Centre, 20-13 back on September 21.
Key Players for the 'Roos
Senior Colt Collins has taken every snap at quarterback for the 'Roos, and he leads the entire conference with 242.8 passing yards per game. He has totaled eight touchdowns through the air, but has also tossed five interceptions.Â
Collins also leads the Austin ground attack. His team-high 70 rushing attempts have amassed 244 yards and four touchdowns. Junior Evan Powell, who has three touchdowns, is the only other player with more than 100 yards rushing on the season.Â
Sophomore Kai Brinkerhoff and freshman Maika Brinkerhoff have eached hauled in 11 passes on the season. Maika leads the way in touchdowns (3) and receiving yards (274).Â
On the defensive side of the ball, sophomore Keegan Nichols paces Austin with 46 total tackles. He leads the SAA at 11 tackles-per-game. He also leads the team with 3 sacks. Â
The 'Roos secondary has totaled just two interceptions, while senior Segun Adekunle has a team-high four pass breakups.Â
