JACKSON, Miss.--The Millsaps College baseball team wrapped up their home weekend Sunday morning with an 11-1 loss to visiting Centenary College.
The Gents used a three-run third inning and a five-run seventh to break the game open while the Majors weren't able to bring the same offensive firepower as they did in their win yesterday.
How It Happened
Centenary got on the board in the first off Majors starter
Hayden Williams. A leadoff walk came around to score after a pair of stolen bases and a throwing error to give Centenary a 1-0 lead.
Three singles and a hit by pitch led to three Gents runs in the top half of the third, ending Williams day.
Centenary tacked on an insurance run in the sixth before breaking the game open with five runs in the seventh. Millsaps scored a run in the eighth after
William Warner led off with a double and later scored on
Brennan Ducote's RBI groundout.
