3/29/2019 2:00:00 PM

JACKSON, Miss. -- After several games on the road in the last two weeks, the Millsaps College baseball team returns home this weekend for a three-game Southern Athletic Association (SAA) series with the Hendrix College Warriors.

Check out the game notes below for all of the details on this weekend's series.

Last Week
Millsaps dropped two out of three in a conference series at Rhodes. In Saturday's doubleheader Brennan Ducote led the way with a pair of three-run home runs, including the game-winner in the game two win.

On Wednesday the Majors traveled to Louisiana to wrap up a three-game season series with the Gents of Centenary College. Centenary won the previous two meetings this season, both played in Jackson.

In the final matchup of the season between these two teams Millsaps came back from a 3-1 deficit to earn a 10-7 win.

The Majors, who have now won two out of their last three games, enter this weekend with a 5-18 overall record. They are 2-6 in SAA play.

Saturday, March 30th 12:00 p.m. (DH) & Sunday, March 31st 12:00 p.m. vs Hendrix College (19-7, 6-3 SAA)
The Warriors enter the weekend at 19-7 this year. Hendirx is 6-3 in SAA play which puts them at second place in the conference stadnings. They come in winners in 7 of their last 10 games after they dropped two games to Birmingham-Southern last weekend.

The Warriors are receiving votes in both the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper NCAA Division III and the D3.baseball.com national polls this week.

Senior Jorge Leon leads the Hendrix offense, and ranks first in the SAA with a .430 batting average. He has 40 hits in 93 at bats. He also leads the team with 21 RBIs.

On the mound the Warriors are paced by freshman Jack Hodgins. He has made 7 starts and leads the team with 40 strikeouts.

The Majors will look to carry some momentum from Wednesday's night performance at Centenary into this weekend. The offense totaled 11 hits and the bullpen put together several strong performances down the stretch to secure the victory.
