ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Millsaps College women's tennis team wrapped up this weekend of Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play by taking on the Stormy Petrels of Oglethorpe University.
The Majors grabbed the all-important 2-1 advantage in doubles play, and despite dropping a singles match quickly wrapped up the 5-2 win to improve to 3-0 in the SAA.

Ella Shields/
Morris Kelly Clayton both scored identical 8-4 wins in doubles play to give Millsaps a 2-1 lead.
Oglethopre battled back to pick up a point with a win at singles number five, but the Majors quickly wrapped up the match with three singles wins to score the 5-2 victory.
Grace Gaskins defended her No. 9 regional ranking with a 6-2, 6-2 win at number one,
Ella Shields cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win at number three and
Jordyn Kanak clinched the match with her 6-3, 6-0 win at number six.
What's Next?
Millsaps will be on the road again next weekend when they travel to Rhodes on Sunday. Matches are slated to begin at 11:00 a.m.
