JACKSON, Miss.--The Millsaps softball team will award the 2019 recipient of the Molly Tyner Boland Award before its game against Hinds Community College on Friday April 19. First pitch is scheduled for 5 PM and the award will be given prior to the game. 

The award was created in 2017 in honor of the late Molly Tyner Boland, a former Millsaps softball player who passed away back in 2016. The award is given to the "most outstanding returning student-athlete that examplifies the altruistic spirit on and off the field that Molly exhibited in her life." 

The 2018 recipient was Cassidy DeNoon, a 2018 senior who graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology.
