ATLANTA, Ga. -- On Tuesday, the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) announced the 2019 All-SAA Baseball awards. The award winners were selected exclusively by the league's head coaches.
For Millsaps, senior outfielder
Brennan Ducote and sophomore outfielder
Mason Little both earned spots on the All-SAA Second Team, and sophomore keeper.
Ducote caps off a highly decorated four-year career at Millsaps with his second career all-conference honor. He led the Majors with 56 total hits this season, and finished second on team with a .324 batting average. He was also second in doubles (9), His four home runs led the Majors, and he also drove in 20 runs. His 19 stolen bases were top-5 in the entire SAA.
For Little, the second-team selection is the first all-conference honor of his career. The sophomore from Montgomery, Alabama led Millsaps with a .331 average. His 10 doubles and 31 RBIs were also tops on the team. He posted an on-base percentage of .405, and also stole 11 bases.
