Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Volleyball Opens up 2019 Campaign at Colorado College Classic

COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. -- On Friday, the Millsaps College volleyball team traveled out west to Colorado to begin their 2019 season. The Majors took part in the 2019 Colorado College Classic where they played matches against the University of Wisconsin-Oshksoh and the host, Colorado College.

In the first match against UW-Oshkosh the Majors had a slow start, but rebounded nicely in sets two and three. Unfortunately the Titans proved to be too much down the stretch as they scored a three-set victory. In the day's second match the Millsaps defense had a strong showing, but unfortunately Colorado College came away with a 3-0 win.

Game 1
Erica Bennett lead the Majors with nine kills, while McKenzi Petricko, playing in front of friends and family in her hometown, added seven of her own.  Katelyn Thomas and Mary Tebbe combined for 23 total assists, but the height of UW-Oshkosh made things tough for the Majors.

The Titans combined for 14 blocks as a team in their 3-0 win.
