JACKSON, Miss. -- After playing at home three consecutive times to open up the season, the Millsaps men's soccer team will be away from Harper Davis Field this weekend.
On Saturday, the Majors make the short trip down Riverside Drive to play rival Belhaven University. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.
Last Time Out
On Wednesday, Millsaps started slow, but three second-half goals combined with strong play on the defensive end allowed them to score a 3-0 win over the Mississippi University for Women. The win improved their overall record to 3-0.
Brett Judd, who has scored 5 total goals in the last two games is the reigning SAA Player of the Week.
Tomorrow: Belhaven University (3-0, 0-0 ASC), 2:00 p.m., Jackson, Miss.
The Blazers enter into Saturday's match with an identical 3-0 record. In their last game Belhaven beat Pensacola Christian College 3-2.
Belhaven and Millsaps do share one common opponent so far this year. The Blazers beat LaGrange College 4-1 back on August 31. Meanwhile Millsaps topped LaGrange 2-1 to open up the season.
Key Players for the Blazers
Three different players lead an offensive attack for Belhaven that has scored 10 combined goals this season. Brendan Koehn, James Dempsey and Max Maguire all have two goals each.
Defensively, Max Rudolph has played all 270 minutes in goal for the Blazers. He has allowed just three goals for a 1.00 goals against average.
