JACKSON, Miss. -- On Tuesday night, the Millsaps College men's soccer team entertained the defending NAIA national semifinalist William Carey Crusaders at Harper Davis Field.
The visiting Crusaders led 1-0 at halftime, and added a pair of second half goals to pick up the 3-0 win.
The loss drops Millsaps to 3-2 on the year. William Carey improves to 6-0-2 this season.
How It Happened
The Majors came out strong against a highly competitive Crusaders team.
Although Millsaps was forced to play the majority of the half on the defensive end of the field, William Carey was only able to net one goal.
Alfie Miller stood tall against 18 total shots, making four saves including one on a penalty kick.
The second half saw William Carey score in both the 47th and and 77th minute to come away with a 3-0 win.
What's Next?
The Majors travel to Texas this weekend for a pair of non-conference games. Millsaps will play East Texas Baptist University on Friday night, and wrap up the weekend with a match against LeTourneau University on Saturday.
