MARION, Ala. -- On Friday, the Millsaps women's soccer team faced the Eagles of Judson College.
The Majors controlled most of the contest, shutting out JC on their own field, to win 1-0.
How It Happened
1st Half
Mary Ranager continued to insert pressure on opposing teams by putting up five shots in the opening half.
Unfortunately, the home team held the Majors scoreless for the entirity of the first period.Â
2nd Half
Marks, alongside
Hannah Johnson, forced 12 shots to try and extend the lead but Millsaps would come away unsuccessful in the second half.Â
Madison Milano closed out the game inside the goal, posting two saves to keep the Eagles scoreless.Â
Overtime
The transfer,
Mattie Marks, found the back of the net in just under 16 minutes, scoring her first goal as a Major off a ball crossed by
Riley Fobare.
Additionally, with the assist in tonight's game, Fobare is responsible for half of the teams goals this season.Â

Millsaps heads out to Memphis to open up SAA play against Rhodes College on Friday afternoon. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
