MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- On Saturday, The Millsaps College women's soccer team opened up Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play at Rhodes College.
The Lynx kicked off the match with a pair of goals, and tallied one in the second half to win 3-0.
How It Happened
Millsaps fell behind early when Rhodes scored back-to-back goals in the first three minutes of the contest.
Madison Milano still found a way to stop three scores, but the Majors turned to
Maddie Moore to close out the first half.
After the break, Moore recorded two saves before the Lynx finally put another one through, knocking the visiting Majors down by three.
Hannah Johnson was able to get passed the defenders to take a couple of shots late in the game. Unfortunately, Rhodes dominated the shot column 35-2, giving the 3-0 victory to the home team.
Following today's performance of eight saves, Moore moves up to second place in the conference with 29.
What's Next?
Millsaps will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Arkansas to face Hendrix College. Sunday's kickoff is set for 11:00 a.m.
