ATLANTA, Ga. -- After helping the Majors dominate the field position game in Saturday's 14-0 win over Rhodes, Andrew Byrd has been named the Southern Athletic Association Special Teams Player of the Week.

This is the second time this season that Byrd has won the award. 

The junior punted the ball 12 different times on Saturday for an average of 38.4 yards per kick. He had five punts downed inside the 20-yard line, two go for more than 50-yards and a long kick of 56 yards.

Byrd currently leads the SAA both in number of punts downed inside the 20-yard line (6) and opponent fair catch signals (9). 

Millsaps is back in action this weekend as they travel to No. 10 Berry College for a matchup of 3-0 teams. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. CT.
