BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Millsaps College women's tennis team opened up Southern Athletic Association (SAA) play by dominating the Birmingham Southern College Panthers on Saturday.
Millsaps swept all three doubles' matches, and won five of the six singles' matches for an 8-1 victory.
The win improves the Majors' record to 2-2 on the season.

Morris Kelly Clayton each earned identical 8-6 wins at double's No. 3 and No. 2 respectively to give Millsaps the early 3-0 lead.
In singles play, Fremaux dominated at the No. 3 spot for a 6-0, 6-0 win, and Dabadie clinched the match win for the Majors with her 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2.
Clayton controlled No. 6 by scores of 6-3, 6-0, Gaskins scored a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 1 and Brown fought back to score a thrilling, three set (6-1, 6-7, 11-9) victory at No. 3.
The Panthers lone point came at singles' No. 5.
What's Next?
Millsaps heads to Florida next week for their annual spring break trip. First up for the Majors is a match against Dickinson College on Monday, March 9. Millsaps will also play NCAA Division I Providence College that same day.
