ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Millsaps College women's tennis team played a pair of matches on the second day of their spring break trip in Florida.
The Majors opened up the day with a hard-fought, 5-4 win over Dickinson College.
In the nightcap, Millsaps fell 5-2 at the hands of NCAA Division I Providence College.

The Majors swept all three of the doubless matches, which proved to be the difference in the win.

Sarah Hayek all picked up wins for Millsaps.
In singles' play, Hayek scored her second victory of the day when Dickinson forfeited at No. 6.
Grace Gaskins cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 win at singles' No. 1. That victory clinched the match win for the Majors.
Match vs Providence College
Dabadie and Clayton, picked up a 6-4 win at doubles No. 2, but the Friars won the other two matches to earn the point.
Gaskins continued her strong start to the 2020 season with a come-from-behind 2-6, 6-2, 10-6 win at singles' No. 1.
Marissa Brown also scored a victory (6-1, 3-6, 10-8) at the No. 4 spot.
Unfortunately, Providence won the other singles' matches to pick up the 5-2. win.
What's Next?
The Majors have tomorrow off. They will be back in action on Wendesday when they plat No. 13 Kenyon College at 5:30 p.m. CT.
