ATLANTA, Ga. – The Millsaps men's soccer team was blanked 5-0 in conference play by Oglethorpe University on Friday. Sophomore goalkeeper Wilkins Dowdy posted seven saves at Oglethorpe Field.

Oglethorpe (5-6, 5-0 SAA) won their fifth match in a row with offensive prowess, outshooting the Majors 24-2 (12-0 shots on goal).

Millsaps (1-9-1, 0-5 SAA) found themselves as the recipients of two corner kicks, but both sailed high of the penalty box.

Scoring three goals and allowing none in the first half, the Stormy Petrels took command early. They would then boot two more goals into the back of the net in the second half en route to a 5-0 victory.

The Majors will finish their two-match road trip in the Peach State against Berry on Sunday. Opening kick is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT with live stats and video available at gomajors.com.
