ATLANTA – Millsaps men's swimming and diving student-athlete
Bryan Sullivan did not take long to make a splash as he was named the Southern Athletic Association Men's Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced on Thursday.
The fifth-year senior transfer won the 100-meter backstroke by nearly 2.5 seconds with a time of 1:00.94 at Rhodes. He also added a win in the 50-meter freestyle in 23.85 at the same dual meet.
Sullivan is the second Major ever to earn SAA Men's Swimmer of the Week accolades since then-freshman
Breydon Conner did so last January. Both the men's and women's programs began their third seasons of competition at Rhodes on Oct. 16.
The Neuroscience major is a transfer from Drury University in Missouri where he qualified for the NCAA Division II nationals last year.
The Majors will next welcome in Loyola New Orleans on Oct. 30 inside the University Wellness Center – Lakeland in Flowood, Miss. for the teams only scheduled home meet. Fans are welcome to attend.
