BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Hitting the century mark for the first time this season, the No. 7 Millsaps women's basketball team dominated Birmingham Southern, 104-75 at Bill Battle Coliseum on Saturday.

Millsaps (10-1, 9-1 SAA), who earned their highest ranking in the D3hoops.com poll earlier in the week, led 29-13 after the first quarter and never looked back.

The Majors also outscored Birmingham-Southern (5-11, 3-8 SAA) in the paint, by an impressive 68-22 margin. Known for their stifling defensive presence this season, the Majors held the Panthers to 30.4 percent shooting from the field.

A total of four Majors scored in double digits. Senior standout Taelor Manning led the way as she scored 23 points (13-14 FT). She also highlighted the stat sheet with five rebounds and three assists.

Sophomore wing Devan Caldwell had a dominant game with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Junior forward Andrea Rayford had her best offensive game of the season as she netted a career-high 14 points, and six rebounds.

Sophomore guards Briasha King and Elicia Lartigue were impressive as well. King added 11 points and six rebounds and has now scored in double figures in three straight games. Lartigue was a wizard on the court for the Majors as the floor general, posting seven assists.
