JACKSON, Miss. – Playing in their second game in as many days, the Millsaps men's soccer team (1-4) was bested by Louisiana College (5-1) by a score of 6-0 at Harper Davis Field on Saturday.
Goalkeepers
Wilkins Dowdy and
Brannon White both had seven saves each.
Colby Armstrong,
Christopher Bruni and
Jacks Dowdy all got solid looks that were saved in the first half. Despite their efforts, Louisiana College grabbed a 5-0 lead into halftime.
Showing pride, the Majors would exhibit a stronger performance in the second half.
In the 66th minute,
Sebastiani Meraldo booted a laser towards the net that was barely saved by the gloves of the Wildcat goalkeeper. A goal by the visitors in the 81st minute would push their lead to a final tally of 6-0.
