ATLANTA – A truly remarkable season continues for Millsaps men's swimming and diving student-athlete
Bryan Sullivan as he was named the SAA Men's Swimmer of the Week for the third time this season, after the conference coaches' voting was revealed on Friday.
The fifth-year product competed last Friday and Saturday at the Birmingham CrossPlex. On Friday, he finished first in the 50-yard freestyle in 21.13 seconds against Birmingham-Southern and NCAA Division II Montevallo. Sullivan followed this up with event wins in the 100-yard backstroke (51.41) and the same 50 free (21.47) over BSC and Berry on Saturday.
The Neuroscience major became the first swimmer in program to be named SAA Swimmer of the Week twice, and has now earned the honor a third time. Sullivan previously earned the honor on Oct. 22 and Dec. 8.
A graduate of Jackson Prep, Sullivan has set SAA records in the 50 free, 100 fly, 100 back and the 100 IM this season. He currently holds nine Millsaps individual top marks and has teamed up on two record-setting relays.
The Majors will conclude their regular seasons on Saturday in a dual meet at Hendrix College, beginning at 1 p.m. Fans can watch the meet through the link provided on gomajors.com.
