The Majors registered nine shots on goal compared to the Hawks' eight on-target attempts. Millsaps also earned two more corner kicks (5-3).
Dowdy didn't wait long to put the Majors on the scoreboard, netting the first goal two minutes in. After receiving a through ball, Dowdy directed the ball toward goal which was swatted back in harms way. Dowdy then headed the ball back and it bounced behind the Hawks keeper.
Roughly a minute later Huntingdon dribbled the ball down low to the Millsaps goal line. A pass across the net front was pushed home by a sliding Hawks attacker.
Huntingdon would grab a 2-1 lead in the 18th minute on a strong individual dribbling effort through the Millsaps defensive third.
The back-and-forth action continued as the Majors intercepted a Huntingdon goal kick and advanced the ball ahead with a pair of headers. The second header landed at the feet of Dowdy who buried the ball from the top of the box, tying the game at 2-2 in the 31st minute.
Millsaps would carry momentum for the remainder of the first half with three shots, including two on net by Tymkiw and Dowdy.
The second half would begin with the Hawks forcing three shots toward the Major goal, but Millsaps held strong. Both teams would trade chances for the remainder of the match, with Dowdy recording two final shots in the last four minutes of play.
Huntingdon fired one final shot at the buzzer the carried over the top of the crossbar giving each team a 2-2 draw.
