BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Millsaps women's soccer team was stopped 1-0 against Birmingham-Southern in its regular-season finale at Goldfarb Field at Berylson Soccer Park on Saturday.

Alexa Dubrow recorded a shot attempt.
BSC notched a 9-2 shot edge, including a 7-1 on-target advantage. The Panthers also posted a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks. However, Millsaps was far more disciplined with eight less fouls (5-13).
Dubrow's shot attempt was the first of the game in the 11th minute in a tightly defended contest. Birmingham-Southern would tally the next two shots on goal in the 31st and 42nd minutes, but both were pushed aside by Lozano.
The Mesquite, Texas, product made another pair of saves in the opening minutes of the second half, but BSC finally broke through in the 72nd minute.
Hearn would have a chance, but was stopped looking for the equalizer in the 81st minute. BSC would fire off a flurry of four shot attempts in the final 20 minutes, but Lozano held the match at 1-0. Millsaps would not get another chance and fall in the hard-fought match.
The Majors will close the regular season at 5 p.m. against rival Belhaven on Tuesday. Live stats and video will be available at gomajors.com.
