DELHI, La. – Millsaps men's golf sophomore
Will Danielson posted a dominate performance and earned individual victory in a fall tri-match against foes from Centenary and Hendrix on Saturday.
Danielson fired a course-low 71 (-1) to beat the field of 16 competitors by three strokes at Black Bear Golf Club.
Host Centenary won as a team with a combined total of 304, while Millsaps finished at 311 ahead of Hendrix (313).
Senior
Andrew Lovejoy finished tied for seventh at 7-over par. Junior
Harrison Rhymes scored well placing ninth at 8-over.
Finalizing the match for the men's team were seniors
Krtin Udith,
Charlie Ellery and
Gabe Brooks. Udith and Ellery carded rounds of 81 to finished tied for 10th, while Brooks ended the day in 16th position at 16-over.
The Majors will be back in action at the Oglethorpe Fall Invitational and compete on the Royal Lakes Country Club in Flowery Branch, Ga., Oct. 10-11.
