Jacks Dowdy tallied shots on net for Millsaps (2-8-1).
The Blazers had a few shots early and were able to net one home in the 30th minute. The Majors responded with three shots before halftime, forcing two Belhaven stops.
The second half saw the teams trading possession deep in their opponent's territory, but Belhaven managed to add to its lead in the 62nd and 70th minutes.
Suzuki fired a shot shortly after, but the attempt went wide left. Momentum continued for the Blazers as they added a fourth strike in the 74th minute.
Millsaps would push back when freshman
Daniel Denton lofted Suzuki the ball down low. Suzuki then dished it off to van der Waal, who laced the ball with his left foot into the top-left corner, cutting the deficit to 4-1 with 15 minutes remaining.
A final Belhaven shot attempt closed the game as the last chance in the 82nd minute.
Millsaps will now close out its remaining SAA home slate, beginning with Oglethorpe at 5 p.m. on Friday. Live video and stats will be available at gomajors.com.
