Michael Hamauei stood out this season and were named to the All-SAA Men's Soccer Team, the Southern Athletic Association revealed on Monday. The duo earned All-SAA Honorable Mention distinction.
Dowdy provided offensive spark for the Majors in all 18 matches, totaling a career- and team-high six goals. He added an assist and posted a career-most 45 shot attempts and 30 shots on goal.
He finished fifth in the SAA for goals, second for shots on goal, third for shot attempts and sixth for points with 13. Dowdy, a native of Hammond, La., was also named All-SAA Second Team following the 2021 spring season as a freshman.
Hamauei was solid in 17 matches in his rookie campaign for the Majors. He tallied a shutout and teamed up for a second, while posting a league-high 85 saves and 5.19 saves per game.
The Shreveport, La., product tallied victories against Pensacola Christian and Tougaloo along with ties versus Fontbonne and Huntingdon.
