JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps men's basketball team fell short of reaching their goal, falling 67-56 to Webster University in the Hangar Dome on Sunday.
The Majors were held to 14.3 percent from long range (3-of-21) and 28.6 percent for the game (18-of-63). Millsaps outshot Webster, 70.8 to 54.5 percent from the free-throw line. The Majors tallied 11 steals and forced 19 turnovers, which resulted in 16 points.
Senior guard
Doug Watson (13 points, four rebounds) was the most prolific scorer for Millsaps

Aaron Ursin and freshman
Dakota Gasca generated nine points. Gasca also grabbed four steals and four boards. Additionally, fellow freshman
Stewart Bonnecaze added a strong eight points and three steals.
The Majors and Gorloks traded baskets and free throws to open the game, with Millsaps holding their last advantage at 7-6. However, Webster would steadily grow a lead to 18 points three minutes into the second half at 42-24.
Watson and Ursin would sink layups before senior
Rodreekas Bush nailed a three-pointer to give Millsaps a 7-0 run midway through the second frame. The flurry would pull Millsaps to a 48-39 deficit, but the Gorloks would keep the Majors at arm's length the remainder of the game.
