Andrea Rayford led all scorers with 17 points in a narrow 61-58 defeat to Hendrix College in the regular-season finale. Junior forward
Devan Caldwell also reached double figures with 13 points inside the Grove Gymnasium on Sunday.
After Rayford knocked down a mid-range jumper for the first two points of the game, Caldwell converted on back-to-back layups for a 6-0 lead and forced an early timeout by the Warriors. Following the timeout, Novak made a layup for an 8-0 start. This would be Millsaps' last field goal of the quarter as Roe split a pair of free throws and Hendrix would enter the second frame with a 12-9 lead.
After Hendrix (8-14, 2-9 SAA) struck first in the second quarter, junior guard
Briasha King got Millsaps (9-14, 4-8 SAA) on the board with a three-pointer from the wing to make it a 14-12 game. Following a stop, third-year guard
Elicia Lartigue made a beautiful scoop layup in the paint to tie the game. With just under two minutes remaining in the first half, the Majors reclaimed the lead at 26-24 when Rayford powered through a foul and made the and-one jumper in the paint. Hendrix would score once more before to tie the game heading into the intermission.

Millsaps did not make a field goal in the third quarter but made 9-of-12 free throws to stay within striking distance as they trailed 38-35 going into the final quarter.

Following the break in action, King hit a pull-up wing three to cut the deficit to six points. After getting a stop, Caldwell would also nail a three to make it a 47-44 game with 6:59 left.
Later in the frame with the Majors down 59-54 and 2:00 remaining, aggressive defense by Millsaps resulted in a 10-second count. The Majors could not capitalize and Hendrix would make it a three-possession game with an ensuing jump shot make. Hendrix would hang on for a 61-58 win.
