JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps baseball program is set to host the eight-team, 11-game Millsaps Baseball Classic. Action takes place Friday, Feb. 11 through Sunday, Feb. 13 at both Twenty Field and Smith-Wills Stadium.
The Majors welcome in several teams who are receiving votes in the 2022 D3baseball.com/NCBWA Preseason Top 25 poll. These programs are Centenary College (La.), LaGrange College, Millikin University and Rhodes College. Rounding out the field are Berry College, Huntingdon College and MUW (The W).
All matchups will feature live stats, while the Majors' games will also be live streamed. Links are available below and on the Millsaps baseball schedule pages on gomajors.com.

The Vikings lost two keys starters in Tyler Calvert and Zach Walch but will look to fill the void, while Spence Johns returns for his fifth and final season. Head coach David Beasley hopes the team will be as dominate as the 32-9 squad from 2021.

The Gents (2-2) arrive in Jackson with an equal win/lose record, losing the first two to Willamette, but recovering with a series win over East Texas Baptist. With a record of 30-11, Centenary is looking to stay competitive in 2022.

Having not played during the 2021 season, the Hawks are excited for a full 2022 campaign. The Hawks will open their season this Friday against Centenary to open the Millsaps Baseball Classic, beginning at 11:00 a.m.

The Panthers will begin their season this Friday in Jackson against the Majors. With a record of 24-10 a year ago, the young team and key returner Cael Chatham are ready to face the season head strong and focused.

The Big Blue will start off their season this Friday against Berry College at 6 p.m. at Smith-Wills Stadium. Traveling from Illinois, Millikin should be a tough out again this season, having finished 2021 with a record of 31-16.

The Owls will make the short 2.5-hour journey from Columbus, Miss. MUW is excited to be facing the Majors this Sunday at Twenty Field with 2:30 p.m. first pitch. The Owls will start off their season with first year head coach Scott Mularz.

The Lynx will commence their season this Friday against The W (MUW) at 11a.m. Rhodes finished 18-14 (14-9 SAA) last year. They will face LaGrange on Saturday before returning home to host Millikin in Memphis on Sunday.
