JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps football program unveiled its exciting 2022 schedule on Wednesday, which doubles as the team's 100th NCAA intercollegiate season. The calendar features the Riverside Rumble set for Thursday, Sept. 1 and Homecoming Game slated for Saturday, Oct. 22 both at Harper Davis Field.

A total of 10 matchups complete the slate with five home and away contests each, featuring seven Southern Athletic Association foes. More details will follow this summer ahead of the fall campaign regarding special events, promotions, ticket information and more as the Majors celebrate 100 seasons of intercollegiate football.

The Majors kick off the 2022 campaign playing host to Belhaven in the Riverside Rumble, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1.

Millsaps will then trek to central Texas for a clash with the War Hawks of McMurry University on Saturday, Sept. 10. It will be the teams' 10th all-time meeting and first since 1998.

The Majors return home to face the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in the teams' first-ever meeting, Sept. 17 at Harper Davis Field.

Following a bye week, Millsaps will then make the trip to face Sewanee and open SAA play on Oct. 1. The Majors have secured the last 16 wins in the series.

The Hendrix Warriors then visit Jackson for a battle on Oct. 8. Millsaps continues its home-away cycle by making a trip to Birmingham-Southern the following week on Oct. 15.

Homecoming Weekend is set for Friday, Oct. 21 through Sunday, Oct. 23 with Homecoming Game featuring Rhodes College on Saturday.

Millsaps returns for a road contest at Berry College on Oct. 22 before returning home to face defending SAA champion Trinity University for Senior Day on Nov. 5.
 
The season concludes with a road trip and matchup slated for Centre College on Nov. 12. Live video and live stats will be available for all games on gomajors.com throughout the fall.

The first intercollegiate season of NCAA sponsored Millsaps football began in 1920, with three teams not being fielded during the World War II era (1942, 1943, 1945). The 2020 season was also suspended but later played in the spring of 2021.
