JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps women's soccer team played tough to earn a 0-0 draw against visiting LeTourneau University at Harper Davis Field on Saturday.
Freshman goalkeeper
Emily Lozano tallied two saves for her second shutout of the season.
The YellowJackets posted an 8-1 shot attempt advantage and held a 2-1 edge on corner kicks. Millsaps caused 10 fouls compared to eight by the visitors. Freshman
Alexa Dubrow tallied the Major shot attempt.
Millsaps opened the game with a corner kick in the fifth minute. LeTourneau would have a corner opportunity in the 14th minute before forcing Lozano to make a save on a separate chance 10 minutes later.
Dubrow would provide her shot attempt in the 47th minute and Lozano would corral her second save of the evening in the 60th minute. The game would end scoreless with both teams holding stout defensively.
The Majors complete their three-match homestand by hosting in-state foe Delta State at Harper Davis Field on Saturday, beginning at 6 p.m. Live video and stats are available at gomajors.com.
