JACKSON, Miss. – The Millsaps women's soccer team held tough against a quality NCAA Division II opponent in Delta State, falling 3-0 at Harper Davis Field on Saturday.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Isabella Locke recorded nine saves in her collegiate debut. Millsaps was the more disciplined team giving up four fouls compared to six by the Lady Statesmen.
Delta State held most of the position and a 33-3 shot-attempt advantage. The in-state visitors also recorded the lone corner kick of the contest and scored in the 18th, 67th and 70 minutes.
Fellow classmate
Alexa Dubrow tallied two shot attempts on the evening, once in the 11th minute and again in the 48th minute. Senior
Riley Ely added a shot attempt in the 27th minute of action.
Millsaps travels to face Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Ala. on Friday. The opening kick will take place at 6 p.m. with live video and stats available at gomajors.com.
