ATLANTA – A terrific defensive team play by the Millsaps football team led to freshman defensive back Tondarrius Stallion being named the SAA Special Teams Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday.

Millsaps bested McMurry University in Abilene, Texas by a score of 27-13 on Saturday. The Belzoni, Miss., product picked up the blocked kick and returned it 26-yards at the conclusion of the War Hawks' opening drive.

The touchdown return sparked the Majors sideline and was key in the Majors earning the hard-fought road win.

Millsaps returns to action next Saturday, Sept. 17 when they host Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. with live video and stats available at gomajors.com.
